These guys are in their element playing jazz but they know how to really have fun with reggae.

They use to call this "tripping music".

E.J. Gold was in the studio recording vocal mic tests with his new Neumann mic. He was singin' the blues. Between tracks he said, "Elwood Strutter Sutton, 1927, crossing Madison and 53rd going west was hit by a truck. He never got to record. He was on his way to a job." Elwood came in on this session which took the form of a mic test, and Gold let the blues come out. Elwood said that "Rebop" was dedicated to his good friend Milt Hinton.

Recorded live Faxl played to an audience rockin' out to hot jazzy harmonica. The music lifted with chords, riffs and harmonica squeals to great heights and flowed, oscillating into the rhythms of blues. With these selections Faxl has woven a fine tapestry that energizes with feeling.

Blue Smoke...is it a vision of glowing ashes rising like the Phoenix from the dust of long-forgotten TV dramas?...something that cannot quite meet the eye.

Faxl performed and recorded live these 12 original pieces. The sound beds were chosen for this album for their abilities to complement a wide variety of moving images.

Parody characterizations by E.J. Gold of celebrities singing some of your favorite Harry Nilsson songs and other great rock classics.

About 1971 John Lilly made the experiment which is track 1 of this CD. He produced what is called a "repeating loop" -- in other words, he spoke the word "Cogitate" once and it was electronically repeated over and over utilizing a special disc to ensure unvarying repetition.

"...the clearest capture of God available . . . God's Reality Show . . . audio only, yes, but as if a hidden camera was at God's place. I imagine we would want to immerse ourselves in this now that we know what it is."

This performance is considered one of the best of over 1200 given by a variety of casts over a period of more than 30 years since it's L.A. debut in 1967. Creation Story Verbatim has also enjoyed a 2 month run at the Gruber Theater on Broadway in New York and an 8 month run at the Ohio Theater Space in New York's SoHo district.

The induction follows the shaman's initiation and travel between dimensions using totems to absorb the shock of transition. The shaman shapeshifts to follow his vision, threads the shawoman's labyrinth to find her in the center, dances for her and finally joins her in a serpentine dance around the tree of life.

It provides you with a form of potent prayer as a result of a sound structure, in the form of an air compression that makes sound structure. This 2 CD set features live invocational folksinging from the early 1980's, and captures the mood and flavor of assemblies. Recorded under variable conditions (whenever a tape recorder happened to be present), these selections were originally assembled by Menlo Macfarlane and offered in the first Real World Catalog. The tape was salvaged and remastered in 1992 at The Union Label studios.

These are the lyrics of the Gold Rush era to which song writer Jimmi Accardi then wrote music.

Surprisingly enough one note is all you need and the tune goes on play ... echoes of your mind.

Transformative music by E.J. Gold

It's been said that every image contains a world surrounding it. The 14 sound images that comprise "Temple Bells" each provide a key to a different world, accessed and brought to you by that intrepid bardo explorer, E.J. Gold.

Zeb was nine and playing a quarter size fiddle when this album was recorded in 1989. He was studying classical violin with Ona Cropper in Vancouver, at the time.

This album has a variety of pieces with drone backgrounds, from East Indian to Persian sounds. The Eastern music is meditative, contemplative, inward-seeking. The drone in its many forms reminds us of the humming of bees, suggesting the mysteries of the Sarmoung Brotherhood and other ancient paths. The haunting chant, the winding notes of the flute and the life-supporting rhythms of the tablas reconstruct the dance of worker bees in their search for nectar to make honey. One's attention dips in and out, but the drone is always there - like the endless flow of Being.

Beginning with the funky "Sushi Serenade", this CD rocks with an oriental twist. Jazz Koto a la Yamamoto is a unique musical surprise and one that delivers a sensational driving bassline, entwined with the high and haunting koto tattoo. Walk through the gentle rustle of a tall green bamboo forest and find yourself at the Down Home Geisha. Let your hair down, get our your chopsticks and have some fun

And there was also just a little dash of disbelief about the whole affair. I mean, really now, here were a bunch of fantastic musicians, all dressed in identical bald wigs, sporting the jaunty hats, sunglasses and leisure suits of the television detective, belting out tunes a la Telly with just a touch of Frank thrown in for good measure. This absolutely hysterical parody was performed with excellent musicianship, flair and humor. The Kojacks took the stage, charmed the audience and, all the while, tossed out lollipops to the punks up front. I was lucky enough to see the Kojacks live about a half dozen times and still grin fondly at the memory.

Back in the late 1970s, the Kojak's made a gigantic splash in the underground music scene. They showed up at CBGB one night, played an incredible set of music and word quickly spread. Nobody was really sure who they were or where they came from. The next time they played at this famous club, the place was packed. Everybody who was anybody on the music scene heard about them and wanted to check it out for themselves...
